Ideabooks are a fantastic tool for you to organize things you like, and for a designer to view and assess your style ideals, but that is just the beginning. Knowing how to put it all together takes planning and good design sense. Fine furniture is an investment, and you want to be assured it looks and feels great in your home.
By understanding your unique space, I can identify key pieces of furniture and prepare scaled drawings, color palettes, rugs, lighting, window treatments and accessories. Because I have access to so many manufacturers, I can do all this and keep you within your budget!
I use Houzz.com ideabooks as a way to organize products by style and uniqueness. I also use the site as a way to organize your project and help you visualize (private ideabooks for me and you only).
I recently had a customer who had fallen in love with a chesterfield sofa that was featured in a magazine. It was perfect and she had to have every detail just like it was shown. Eventually we found it … and the Houzz ideabook called “Tufted Upholstery” was born.
Tufting is an upholstery technique (Chesterfield is a classic example). The tufts create a pattern, so generally plain fabrics and leathers are used. Tufted furniture provides great support and comfort, while adding depth and texture to a room design. Take a look at some of my favorite items:

CR Laine

EJ Victor

Chaddock

Ralph Lauren

Lexington Home Brands

Baker Furniture
Not everyone has the luxury of traveling to North Carolina to experience the largest and best furniture store in the world. I hope you can, but if not, let’s use HOUZZ to realize your dreams. If you are working on a large project, I can be one of your greatest assets. Call me. Let’s get started!
